Technologies are changing, but how to preserve traditions and cultural values? The concept of my project is based on the preservation of russian traditions and cultural values in modern conditions. In particular, lace.
I saw lingerie as a way to maintain a connection to the past and pass on values to future generations using modern 3d printing technology.
As a reference for my project, i chose a spectacular collection of intricate lace patterns made in the shape of animal busts called "animal lace". the series was created by young artists Linlen and Pierre-Yves Jacques, who using 3d printing techniques created wall sculptures from white polyamide and glossy paint artists strive to integrate their cultures and perspectives into meaningful works of art, saying they draw on "nature, knowledge and human feelings." Continuing, i decided to take Mtsensk lace of the 19th century as a pattern for my product.
